Murdock is a beautiful boy and his coat is so, so soft!! He looks like a cross between a golden retriever and a german shepherd. However he is a nice, medium size dog, weighing just 48 pounds and is only 1 year old. Murdock is in a wonderful foster home and currently lives with 4 other dogs and 3 cats. He gets along with everyone, but does like to chase the cats every now and then. Murdock is constantly on squirrel patrol when outside and has scaled a 4ft chain-linked fence in pursuit of capturing this small creature. So because of this, it is highly suggested that Murdock goes into a home with a 6 foot privacy fence. Murdock is a pretty shy guy, and does come across as a little fearful. But once he accepts you as his humans, he is a very loving, loyal companion. He even has become a watchdog of sorts at his foster home, alerting them when they have company. Murdock is housebroken and crate trained. He will need some leash work and an obedience class would be beneficial so he can gain more confidence and to bond with his forever family. Because he was picked up as a stray and his shy nature, a home without children would probably work best for Murdock. Some lucky family will have the honor of becoming his forever home.
